This person has Autism, Paranoid Schizophrenia, history of substance abuse and challenging behaviour but this does not define them.More interestingly they have a great sense of humour and have a wide range of hobbies such as Motorbikes/Bikes, being outdoors i.e., Surfing or Walking and Trains!Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person’s life. You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:AutismBehaviours that can be perceived as challengingParanoid SchizophreniaMental health (Wards/Units, Inpatient, hospital discharge, Mental health home)What will your shift involve?In this role, you will be providing high-quality care on a 1:1 basis, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs. Your responsibilities will include engaging with them in meaningful activities and taking them out in the community to promote their social interaction and well-being. Additionally, you will support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence. Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner will be essential to building a strong and trusting relationship.
