Unlike marine or aviation equipment, this role focuses specifically on land-based machinery.Your Three-Year Apprenticeship Journey:Year 1: Begin with foundational tasks such as machinery inspections, guided by your line manager. You'll spend 16 weeks in total at Myerscough College in the north-west of England in 2 week block release sessions, with travel and accommodation expenses covered.Year 2: Expand your skills by diagnosing faults and performing repairs and maintenance on plant machinery. Another 10-week stint at college awaits, requiring temporary relocation.Year 3: Take on increased responsibilities, including advising on machinery repairs for customers and diagnosing complex faults. Again, you'll spend 10 weeks at college, away from home.Unlock Your Career Potential:We offer a competitive starting salary of £16,000 in the first year, increasing to approximately £26,000 upon qualification. You'll receive on-the-job training alongside a college education leading to a nationally recognised “Land-Based Engineer – Technical Level 3”qualification.
