We’re a small team with a focus on arts and creative sectors in Coventry. This would include different parts of the arts sector including music, theatre, visual arts, literature and spoken word, dance, community arts, museums, heritage and combined arts. Our creative economy work covers creative industries such as film, TV, gaming, design and radio, just to mention a few.We aim to support these sectors to ensure that arts, culture and creativity can flourish in Coventry, as well as have a key role in developing the city for the future. This would include supporting the people who work in these sectors including freelancers, as well as ensuring all our residents can enjoy the benefits from taking part in artistic and creative activities. What is the job role?We are now looking for an enthusiastic Programme Officer to join our team. This role will support the Development Manager and the Head of Culture and Creative Economy to deliver projects and programmes, as well as take part in the development of new policies, strategies and funding proposals. This will be a varied role and some of the things you might be doing include:Providing administrative support to deliver programmes aimed at the arts and creative sectors. This could include setting up and managing meetings, supporting financial management and reporting, contributing to evaluation of projects as well as providing effective support through governance and administration tasks, such as taking accurate minutes of meetings.Help the team through the development and management of overall project timelines, risk registers, databases and reporting.Provide strong support for commissioning and procurement processes as well as gather and write information needed for funding applications and policy purposes.Play a key role in organising and delivering events, consultations and other engagement with the culture and creative sectors, partners, residents and communities.Support our work with our funded organisations including providing administrative support for our quarterly meetings, processing claims, keeping records and making payments.Respond to queries from the public and support other communications and marketing activities, including those related to our engagement with our political leadership.Input into the development of new policies and programmes through your skills, knowledge and lived experience.
