Copywriter- Saga Travel Group£36,000-£39,000 (dependent on experience)Permanent   FT - 35 hours  Hybrid - London/Crawley/Kent -  To be flexible to go to any of our offices in London, Kent or Crawley once per monthHere at Saga, we are looking for a Copywriter for our Saga Travel Group. This is a key role within the Creative Marketing team within Saga Travel Group, expressing our brands to engage and delight customers. You are responsible for producing copy for Saga and Titan Travel’s online and offline channels to a high standard – for accuracy, quality of information, tone of voice, inspiration, and creativity. As Copywriter you will be creating personalised, tailored-to-channel brand communications. Responsibilities will span across advertising style, imaginative headline-led marketing sales messages, targeted personal (not just personalised) customer communications, product descriptive content, blogs, and trade communications. Reporting to the Content Lead and working as part of our Creative Marketing Hub, the key objective is to produce clear and compelling copy which will reinforce Saga and Titan's positioning as the experienced holidaymaker experts and the experts in quality escorted touring - creating rich, immersive, and inspiring language to accompany our stunning imagery. Championing the brands through tone of voice, supporting, influencing, and steering best practice.You will liaise with stakeholders across the business (primarily the Product and Marketing teams) within an often high-volume production environment and deliver a very significant output of copy content. We are looking for a talented travel writer used to producing a high volume of copy to tight deadlines, whilst demonstrating a high attention to detail and consistency at all times. The role also requires you to keep the CMS up to date and load information into associated booking engines as required. You must be an excellent team player and bring with you a creative energy and strong commitment to playing your part in Saga and Titan’s ongoing commercial success. Based on briefs from the Product and Customer Marketing teams, take full ownership for writing copy for all channels, including but not limited to:Main brochure intros/extrosAdvertising creative (press, inserts, display, supplements, online)Email and web copyTactical promotionsCustomer magazineChampion the brands and write, adapt and edit content in line with our content strategy and consistent tone of voice.Work with the designers to ensure 'joined up' responses to marketing briefs that bring the idea to life.Ensure all copy changes are updated across all contact points.Be journalistic, research to ensure copy is original, engaging, and factually accurate.Planning and deliveryEngage with Content Lead, Marketing and Product to ensure briefs are provided with required information at the required time to meet deadlines.Ensure copy is approved through the right channels and use systems (CMS, workflow management) to provide visibility of work status and accurately record progress. Ensure systems are kept up to date.Raise risk around deadlines and manage your workload to meet all stage gate deadlines. Adopt a flexible, enthusiastic, and driven approach to achieving the financial goals of the business. The Ideal Candidate2-3 years of demonstrable experience producing high quality, digestible copy within an agency or inhouse environment.Impeccable skills in writing - grammar, punctuation, tone and positioning.This role needs an experienced copywriter with a solid understanding of tour operating, and, ideally, first-hand travel experience.Experience writing for web and understands nuances of SEO and online copy. Attention to detail is key, project tasks have multiple outputs and providing our customers accurate and timely information is vital.Ideally educated to degree level with a high standard of written EnglishHighly organised, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to work largely unsupervised, and deliver to a brief in a timely, collaborative, and pro-active manner.Zealous in their approach to ensuring that existing products are kept up-to-date, on-brand and consistent across all promotional channels.Entrepreneurial, journalistic and inquisitiveAbout The CompanyOver the past 70 years we have become the UK's specialist provider of products and services to people aged over 50 in the UK.
