Job Title: UX DesignerDepartment: Digital & TechnologyLocation: Birmingham Office (minimum of two days a week)Reports to: Head of DevelopmentBudget responsibility: NoPeople responsibilities: No Role Purpose:The UX Designer will be responsible for the look and feel of the back of house technology solutions. They will work closely with the product management and development teams to translate business requirements into designs that provide a seamless user experience..Key Responsibilities:Conduct user research and use this information to create design artefacts such a customer journeys and wireframes that describe solutions in a clear manner.Collaborate with the product managers to ensure that user experience designs are closely aligned with overarching business requirements.Work with development teams to incorporate good user experience design principles into the development process and ensure that solutions are intuitive and easy to use.Engage with agile methodologies, promoting the use of prototypes for early sight opportunities and supporting a process of continuous adaptation and improvement leading to better product quality and value. Key Skills and Experience:Proven experience in user experience design.Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.Knowledge of back of house technologies and their application in a business contextFamiliarity with agile development tools and software, such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and TrelloAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Preferred Skills:Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines.Experience working in B2B and SaaS environments. Qualifications:Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design.Proficiency in wireframe design and UX design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud.Good understanding of agile development methodologies.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
