Shirley Parsons is working with a leading UK real estate fund management and advisory firm to appoint a Sustainability Lead for a 12-month part-time contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the company's ESG strategy and ensure sustainability best practices are embedded across its investments and asset management activities.

Why This Role?

As the Sustainability Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company's sustainability strategy, ensuring it aligns with investor expectations, industry regulations, and best practices. You will oversee ESG data collection, investor reporting, and internal engagement, helping to shape the company's long-term sustainability approach.

This role focuses on reporting, strategy implementation, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with internal teams and external partners to integrate sustainability across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* ESG Strategy & Implementation - Support the Head of Sustainability in developing and delivering the company's sustainability strategy.
* Investor & Stakeholder Engagement - Lead responses to investor sustainability requests and ensure clear communication of ESG commitments.
* Reporting & Compliance - Oversee GRESB submissions, coordinate the annual Sustainability Report, and manage ESG data collection.
* Governance & Best Practices - Organise ESG Committee meetings, lead Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) initiatives, and stay up to date with evolving sustainability requirements.

What We're Looking For:

* Sustainability Expertise - Experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental management (real estate experience is a plus).
* Strong Communication Skills - Confident engaging with investors, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
* Analytical & Organised - Skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
* Proactive & Self-Sufficient - Able to work independently, with a curious mindset and a drive to explore new sustainability opportunities.
