The Lead Practitioner is a dynamic role that utilises their experience and expertise in planning and delivering outstanding learning experiences for pupils with additional learning needs, to strategically support a team of teachers and support staff.

Responsibilities Include:
• Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement the school development plan and vision.
• Champion outstanding teaching and learning experiences for all pupils through modelling, observation and mentoring.
• Identify professional learning opportunities for your team, leading these where appropriate.
• Support pupils' emotional regulation sensitively and empathetically using therapeutic approaches.
• Providing safeguarding support and oversight to the pupils in your group.
• Analysing assessment results and identifying interventions to aid pupils who require additional support or adapting the curriculum where necessary to meet the evolving and varied needs of all learners.
• Contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings, advocating for the pupils' best interests.

Qualifications Teaching Qualification Qualifications related to: ALN, Safeguarding, Trauma Informed Approaches, Therapeutic support, PACE, PMLD, Mentoring
Experience Delivering education to pupils with additional learning needs.
Implementing interventions and tracking impact.Experience delivering PMLD education.
Experience in trauma-informed practice/ PBS
Leading school improvement initiatives.
Delivering staff training.
Responding to safeguarding concerns.
