What we are offeringUp to £48,000, depending on experiencePermanent and full-time position40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.Site-based role at HMP/YOI Peterborough.Please see attached benefits guide for everything we have to offer_____________________________________Your Role as a Reading Specialist AssistantAs a Catering Manager at HMP Peterborough, you will oversee the full catering operation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to approximately 1,260 prisoners, along with staff outlets including the staff canteen and Vita Nova Training Eateries. You will be responsible for managing the kitchen and food service areas, maintaining high food hygiene and safety standards while meeting diverse dietary, ethnic, and cultural needs.You will play a key role in developing and leading the catering team, managing procurement, stock control, and budgeting, ensuring compliance with company and legal requirements. Your leadership will help support prisoners in gaining valuable skills for rehabilitation, contributing to their future employability upon release. You will also drive continuous improvement through internal and external audits, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and service delivery.Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you will work closely with other departments, external agencies, and prison staff to enhance the catering service.
