Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading EPC company to recruit a Planning Manager for its site in East London.

The Planning Manager role comes with a salary of up to �70,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties

As the Planning Manager you will:

* Lead the planning and scheduling function for the project, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and project objectives.
* Develop, manage, and control the master project schedule using Primavera P6 (or equivalent software).
* Provide strategic planning oversight, identifying risks, mitigation strategies, and opportunities for schedule improvement.
* Work closely with the Project Director, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure efficient coordination.
* Lead the progress reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis, providing clear insights to senior management and stakeholders.
* Manage and mentor a team of Planning Engineers, ensuring best practices in project controls.
* Ensure integration of subcontractor schedules into the overall project plan.
* Support the claims and variation process, offering detailed planning data and impact analysis.
* Conduct critical path analysis and proactively manage potential delays.
* Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, company procedures, and contract obligations (e.g., NEC, FIDIC).



Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in a Planning Manager or Senior Planning Engineer role within an EPC, construction, or infrastructure environment.
* Strong background in water treatment, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
* Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning software.
* Proven ability to manage complex schedules, risk assessments, and project controls.
* Understanding of contract management (NEC, FIDIC, or similar frameworks).
