Your Role as an IOMU AdministratorAs an IOMU Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support within the Integrated Offender Management Unit (IOMU). Your work will directly assist operational colleagues in ensuring that prisoners have a purposeful and structured support plan throughout their sentence and beyond. You will act as a central point of contact for various teams, helping to coordinate key administrative tasks efficiently.Your responsibilities will include managing records, responding to telephone and written queries, and ensuring that the IOMU complies with policies and procedures. You will take ownership of critical safeguarding and public protection matters, liaising with Social Services, Probation, and the Police to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and within the required timeframes. Additionally, you will support caseworkers and offender management teams by organising parole review boards, collating information for sentence planning, and assisting in the preparation of reports and assessments.This role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, as you will liaise with internal teams and external agencies to facilitate offender management processes. You will also arrange meetings, minute-take when necessary, and proactively manage diaries and deadlines. Your work will contribute to the smooth running of the IOMU, supporting a rehabilitative approach within the criminal justice system.The Ideal CandidateEssential:Strong administrative skills with experience managing records and deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to prioritise workloads and work efficiently under pressureExperience handling sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalismStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to liaise with external partners such as the Probation Service, Social Services, and PoliceSecurity awareness and an understanding of safeguarding proceduresDesirable:Previous experience working in an offender management or rehabilitative services environmentKnowledge of parole and sentence planning processesExperience arranging meetings and minute-takingFamiliarity with criminal justice policies and proceduresIf you are a highly organised and detail-oriented individual looking to contribute to meaningful rehabilitative work, we would love to hear from you!
