Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, your main responsibility is to lead your National Key Account Team and Regional Account Manager Team to increase company revenue and profitability in line with agreed KPI’s and business standards. Alongside leading your team to meet KPI’s, your area of focus will be to work to develop plans to maximise revenue within existing and new business sectors, lead bids for major accounts and maintain/grow a select number of key accounts.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure your team meets agreed revenue and profit targets through regular portfolio reviews and joint site visitsEnsure the national account portfolio meetsagreed revenue and profit targetsWork with your team to increase revenue and profit through securing NEW business opportunities and maximising our share of wallet within the existing customer portfolioDeliver high level of customer care in line with customer SLA’sContribute to the development and execution of the sales strategyEnsure the CRM system is kept up to date with daily/weekly contact activity, customer contact data and opportunity at all timesEnsure pricing and rebate guidelines are adhered to by the teamEnsure commercially sound discount decisions are made in conjunction with the operations teamsTake a proactive role in the periodic review of the customer base in line with defined segmentationsDebtor days and invoice accuracy in line with agreed customer SLA’s are in line with agreed company levelsDrive the sales team adhere to the contractual agreements, SLA’s, pricing, rebate, loss matrix, etc. with our customers, performing annualised reviews against contract terms, agreed opportunity/revenues, etc.Deliver annualised/contractual price increases positively and on timePromote a team culture which celebrates success and takes ownership of errors/faultsBe proactive in managing underperformance in your team on a regular basis, in line with company policy and proceduresPromote and embed a joined-up approach to customer engagement throughout your team by engaging the local operations teamsForge and maintain positive working relationships in your areaWork closely with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Credit Control, Compliance (H&S, Environmental, Certification), HR and to ensure fit for purpose information is available for our customers on request, bids, tenders, etc.Promote change positively and assist in embedding new conceptsWhen considered necessary or appropriate by the company you may be required to carry out anyduties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.What We're Looking ForAbility to secure and grow new business with spending accountsProven track record in leading a national sales team remotelyExcellent communications skillsDemonstrate a ‘Winning’ mentalityPositive ‘can do’ attitudeHighly driven and motivatedExcellent relationship builderHighly developed negotiation and closing skillsValid driving licenceIntermediate IT skills, including the ability to format and analyse dataExperience of presenting commercial arguments formally to key senior external stakeholdersRecent track record of winning multiple customer accounts from identification of opportunity, through to bid process, to negotiation and delivery of serviceHighly motivated with strong commercial skillsUnderstanding of P&L and specifically mark-up/marginEvidence of continuous revenue growth. e.g. Accounts that have been developed and how this was achievedBusiness qualification desirable but not essentialKnowledge of Safety, Survey, Communications, Test & Measurement equipment desirable but not essentialWhat We Can Offer You25 days annual leave + bank holidaysCompany pensionCompany carFurther education training where applicableAdditional holiday purchase schemeFree Tool HireLife Assurance cover 3x salary Share save schemeEye care vouchersRecommend a friend schemeLearning & Development – commitment to upskilling and developing our people, structured in housetraining available alongside external training where requiredCycle to work schemeLong service recognitionMy Vp discounts – a variety of discounts and rewards on thousands of well-known brandsDiscounts on HP productsEE mobile contract discount offersGym discountsHealth Shield (discounted premiums on health care cash plan)Regit Assist 24/7 accident helpline – free joiningA Little Bit About UsWith over 25 years of experience, we offer a comprehensive range of equipment, support services, and training solutions.As a potential employer, joining ESS means becoming part of a dynamic team in an exciting and rewarding work environment.
