Fire Safety Advisor
Location: North London
Rate: £301 per day (Umbrella)
A Local Authority in North London is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Advisor to provide expert fire safety guidance and support. This interim role ensures compliance with statutory fire safety and health and safety regulations, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Council meets its statutory fire safety obligations across residential and commercial properties.
- Provide professional fire safety advice to Senior Managers and the Housing Department.
- Conduct fire risk assessments on complex and non-complex residential buildings and places of assembly.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and support providers to assess and manage fire risks in residents' homes.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Level 5 or higher qualification in Fire Safety or Fire Safety Engineering from a recognised professional body.
- Minimum five years' experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments within the social housing sector.
- Strong knowledge of building construction methods.
