What is the job role?Coventry City Council has an opportunity to appoint 3 senior Recruitment and Onboarding Leads to join our People Services team as our recruitment service transitions. We are seeking recruitment professionals to lead a team of recruitment and onboarding advisors and administrators as well as overseeing a number of designated service areas. Reporting to the Recruitment & Onboarding Business Partner your role involves leading a team, engaging with hiring managers, attending recruitment panels, attending service area team meetings, defining and driving recruitment improvements whilst ensuring that the team adhere to pre-employment compliance checks. As part of your role, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders, senior managers, employees/redeployees, community organisations and partners to optimise our recruitment strategies and boost engagement.  In addition, you will also ensure the One Coventry Values are reflected at every stage of our recruitment process, by promoting strong diversity and Inclusion practices. Within our team men and people from minority ethnic backgrounds are currently under-represented across our middle-management team, as a result, we would like to encourage both men and people from minority ethnic backgrounds to apply for this post.  This does not prevent any other applicants with a protected characteristic or a non-protected characteristic from applying. Who are we looking for?You will require excellent leadership skills and recruitment knowledge.  In addition, you will need good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of different stakeholders at different levels across the organisation. As well as having good written skills, you will need to be skilled at negotiating and influencing at an operational level. You will also be confident and experienced in articulating recruitment and market insight trends and producing reports whilst being able to deliver training to team members and the wider workforce.You will need to possess a drive for innovation, combined with effective project and people management skills.
