Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading renewable energy provider who cover Commercial, Industrial and some Utility scale Solar projects, to recruit a Solar Design Engineer for its office in South Somerset.
The vital position of a Solar Design Engineer role comes with a salary of up to �50,000, workplace pension as well as Private Healthcare.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to a Lead Design Engineer you will:
* Develop and design Solar PV Systems, this also includes the battery installation
* Oversee the whole project from initial concept to handover
* Confidently communicate with the other engineers, manufacturers as well as on site contractors to execute the design
* Be up to date with planning permissions needed to be obtained to get approval for the Grid
* Be on top of quality control to ensure safety and efficiency
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in solar project engineering
* Extensive knowledge of commercial and utility scale PV
* Able to use PV Sol, AutoCAD, MS Suite and other relevant design tools
* A Full UK driving license is essential for this role
