Duty Manager Location: THE PIG in the wall, Southampton.Pay: £12.35 per hour.Hours: 0-hour casual contractWe are currently looking for a Duty Manager to join our team support our team of the overall hotel operation at our smallest property within our group, THE PIG – in the wall.With just 12 bedrooms, THE PIG-in the wall is tucked away in the old medieval walls of the historic city of Southampton. We are all about relaxed deli-dining, open every day, our deli-bar menu changes daily and our ingredients are sourced from the kitchen garden at our hotel, THE PIG, Brockenhurst, and from our local suppliers.A Duty Manager’s role at THE PIG – in the wall is very different to a Duty Manager role within a larger hotel. We have more than one Duty Manager working at THE PIG - in the wall, who report into the Hotel Manager providing effective communication and organisation across all departments within the hotel whilst on their shift. Responsibilities include but not limited to:Deliver an organised service within the deli-bar, taking orders, serving guests and walk-in visitors.Ensuring all areas of the hotel are kept clean and tidy, working closely with our Room Attendants to guarantee all rooms and public areas are presentable.Support our housekeeping team as/when required.Check in/ out hotel guests, carry luggage and answer the hotels incoming calls as/when required.Provide a knowledgeable service, maintaining a strong understanding of our menu’s, including dietary requirements.Work well in a close-knit team, providing suggestions and support to enhance revenue and guest experience.Understand all health and safety compliance, including fire prevention and have a confident approach towards the safeguarding of the hotel. Training will be provided.To complement our current team structure, we are seeking for someone who’s a ‘Hospitality All-rounder’ seeking for casual hours. The Ideal applicant would be experienced in food & beverage, rooms and guest relations within small to mid-sized outlets.
