Job DescriptionDeputy Business Director40 Hours per weekAre you a finance professional with a passion for supporting operational excellence? We are seeking a Deputy Business Director to join our team at Queens Hospital. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the financial operations of both Soft Facilities Management (FM) and Hard Facilities Management (FM) services provided by Sodexo. Your expertise will help drive effective financial decision-making through accurate reporting, budgeting, and analysis.What you’ll do:Leadership and Development: Provide clear direction and leadership, reinforcing company values, and managing recruitment, performance, and development of assigned employees in line with Sodexo HR policies.Risk and Compliance: Ensure full compliance with company risk, reporting, governance, cash, and stock management procedures within the assigned operational area.Financial Management: Oversee financial performance, manage budgets, and contribute to monthly financial reviews, implementing improvement actions as necessary.Client and Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, aligning services to their business objectives and ensuring professional and proactive management.Operational Oversight: Manage compliance with legal and company standards, address operational issues, uphold health and safety protocols, and act as deputy for the Business Director when required.Service Excellence and Improvement: Drive service excellence through quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives, aligning services with client needs while managing costs effectively.What you Bring:Healthcare Multi-Service Management: Proven experience managing multiple services within a healthcare environment.PFI Experience: Familiarity with Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects, ideally in a healthcare setting.Senior Business Management: Demonstrated leadership and business management experience at a senior level.Client Relationship Management: Strong ability to manage client relationships and influence key decision-makers effectively.Financial and Commercial Acumen: Expertise in managing operations against specifications, with strong P&L skills, commercial insight, and core accounting abilities.Results-Oriented Communication: Proven track record in financial management with P&L responsibility for projects exceeding £15 million, coupled with excellent communication skills.What we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than just a job.
