HCRG Care Group is seeking a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our dynamic team as a Band 7 Team Lead. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to children and young people from 1 month to 19 years of age across Wiltshire, working in special schools, specialist and mainstream pre-school and school settings, as well as occasionally conducting home visits.You will lead a busy and dedicated team within a key hub, working in partnership with parents, education settings, and the wider multi-disciplinary team to deliver excellent care. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for service development.This role is for 22.5 hours a week based at out Chippenham hub location. Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team, parents, and external agencies.Specialist Clinical Care: Independently assess, manage, and provide second opinion advice on specialist clinical areas, including early years, school-age children, or complex needs.Training & Development: Develop and deliver training packages for HCRG Care Group staff, educational staff, parents, and external agencies.Tribunal Support: Provide expert advice for the Local Authority and support junior staff through the tribunal process, attending educational tribunals as required.Service Development & Governance: Contribute to the development and review of clinical pathways, audits, and service initiatives in line with current evidence and national policies. Manage data collection to support service development and RTT.Recruitment & Staff Support: Support recruitment efforts in line with HCRG Care Group policies and assist in professional development through clinical supervision and mentorship.Operational Support: Provide operational support to the Professional Leads and manage DATIX incident investigations.The Ideal CandidateOur Ideal Candidate will have:A recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalentHCPC - Licence to PracticeMembership of Royal College of Speech and Language TherapyMembership of relevant Clinical Excellence Networks/special interest groupsEvidence of right to work in the UKMinimum of 6 years clinical practice post qualificationKnowledge of local and national policies and procedures relevant to the specialist client group such as NICE guidelines.Excellent management skills of teams to drive quality service deliveryHighly developed negotiation and problem solving skills and ability to manage difficult situations. Experience managing clinical caseloads and offering specialist support for children with school age complex SLCN, AAC and dysphagia OR school age service provision (inc DLD) OR early years and complex needs SLCN service provisionValid UK Driving License and access to a car for work purposes to carry out duties of the postAbout The CompanyWe change lives by transforming health and care. Established in 2006 we are one of the UK's leading independent providers of community health and care services, working with health and care commissioners and communities to transform services with a focus on experience, efficiency and improved outcomes.
