St Aloysius’ College has been involved with the Scottish Schools Cup since its’ inception and our teams have played in the Scottish Cup finals at Murrayfield twice in the last five years. Our U16 team were champions in 2017 and our First XV were runners-up in 2019. We seek a colleague for the immensely fulfilling and challenging role of continuing to build on these achievements and take rugby forward as an inclusive and crucial part of the College sporting life. You will shape the new rugby development plan by having the opportunity to advise on how we can offer the very best provision possible including the provision of a rugby Summer camp. Governors and Leadership team are committed to ensuring this is very well resourced and forward-thinking role.How you will make an impactThe Director of Rugby enjoys real autonomy to build and develop the existing strengths and achievements of rugby at the College and ensure the success and engagement with the sport at all levels. You will shape a team of coaches and other staff who have a passion and belief in the values and developmental benefits of the sport.What you need to succeedYou will have a coaching level 3 (UKCC) or equivalent, with experience of coaching rugby to children aged 9-18 years and will have the ability to motivate and inspire others to deliver.
