Accounts Administrator
Full-Time, 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham (Hybrid flexible, 3 days office, 2 from home)
Salary: £24,460 per annum

As one of the UK’s leading funeral providers, our finance team plays a pivotal role in ensuring that we continue to serve families with the highest standards while driving strategic growth and efficiency.
We are now seeking a talented Accounts Administrator to join our finance team, to ensure all Debtors are correctly stated and all direct debits are made on a timely basis, as well as managing other ad-hoc duties throughout the Accounts Team to maintain SLAs and work consistently against workloads.
What you will get involved in:

Maintaining a central database for all Direct Debits for both Pre-Need and Crematoria
Preparing and submitting fortnightly Direct Debit runs for both Pre-Need and the Crematoria division.
Ensuring all Crematoria cash is applied on a monthly basis.
Maintaining the Debt Admin Helpdesk for both At Need and Pre-Need.
Providing support to both Pre-Need and Operations in connection with their unpaid balances by advising them of collections and write-offs and unpaid cheques.
Preparing and uploading files to our external debt collection agency and work closely with both operations and the external company to assist with securing payments and dealing with any queries.
Processing client refunds in line with company procedure.
Reviewing and processing claims to third-party insurance companies.

Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of work while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong process improvement mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and reccoemend changes to enhance overall performance and productivity.
