Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a key business and influential player in the UK anaerobic digestion biogas sector. Together, we are looking to recruit a Plant Technician for their site based near Fakenham, operating across a 4 on 4 off days shift pattern.
The Plant Operator position comes with a salary up to �40,000, plus bonus, and other excellent company benefits including development opportunities into the sector.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Site Manager you will:
* Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and first-line repairs on plant machinery and equipment.
* Operate and monitor SCADA systems to ensure efficient energy production.
* Efficiently operate mobile plant equipment such as Telehandler and Loading Shovel.
* Ensure high levels of Health, Safety, and Environmental practice, with a duty of care to yourself and others, completing all safety and operational checks as required.
* Control mobile plant and vehicles in the area (traffic management).
* Assess incoming and outgoing loads for quality and report any contamination.
* Ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
* Report any accidents, incidents, damage, or suspicious activity immediately.
* Weigh-bridge operation and sample taking for laboratory testing as required.
* Assist with and complete various maintenance tasks
* Other duties as required.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Agricultural background, or experience in a transferable environment, i.e. waste water, heavy industrial or similar.
* Practical experience in mechanical maintenance is highly desirable.
* A basic understanding of electrical systems would be beneficial.
Personal skills
The Plant Technician role would suit someone who is:
* Technically minded with prior experience hands on with mechanical/ electrical maintenance activities.
* Keen and proactive attitude to site operations.
* Comfortable to work across an environment with odours.
