Astute’s Nuclear team are partnered with a Precision Engineering company manufacturing Components, Tooling, Jigs and Fixtures for the OEM, Workholding, Nuclear, Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Mass Transit sectors along with general engineered components. They are looking to recruit an CNC Miller to join their growing business.
The CNC Miller must have experience within a precision engineering environment and have the ability to read and interpret drawings. This position comes with an hourly rate of �16, the ability to work overtime and increase pay each year.

Responsibilities and duties
The CNC Miller will:
* Proficient in reading engineering drawings, customer specifications, and working to tight geometric tolerances.
* Skilled in programming, setting, and operating XYZ Prototrak and LPM CNC milling machines for low volume and one-off components.
* Knowledge of grinding and turning processes is advantageous; experienced in using inspection equipment to ensure quality standards.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering manufacturing, ideally time-served, with a strong background in precision engineering.

* Effective communicator, flexible with overtime, and committed to compliance with ISO45001 & ISO9001:2015 requirements.
