We are currently recruiting for a Transport & Compliance Manager to join our team at our Hopkins Concrete Ltd Wincanton site; based in Somerset. The site is easily accessible via most major road networks. The plant is easily commutable from Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Taunton, Street, Langport, Somerton, Yeovil, Chard, Wellington, Glastonbury, Weston-Super-Mare, Wells, Minehead, Tiverton, Ilminster, Shepton Mallet, Clevedon, Bristol, Trowbridge, Dorchester, Warminster and the surrounding areas. Here at Hopkins Concrete Ltd, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Main responsibilities:On a day to day basis, the successful Transport & Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing the Wincanton fleet.The key responsibilities will include:Managing all aspects of our Operator LicenceDealing with legal compliance, tachograph rules and drivers’ infringementsTaking appropriate action against any infringementsEnsuring transport operations meet all relevant transport and health and safety legislationEnsuring all aspects of fleet maintenance and scheduling are being met by working closely with our on-site workshopWorking alongside our experienced teamEnsuring compliance with CRH, Tarmac and Industry reporting requirementsPrevious experience in Transport Management and a working knowledge of driver regulations essentialExperience in compliance management essential with excellent organisational skills a mustKnowledge of regulatory compliance and legal processesA proactive, flexible approach requiredThe ideal candidate:The ideal candidate will need to be adaptable and used to working under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
