ICMP Senior Social Worker
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Senior Social Worker within Bexley Intensive Case Management for Psychosis Team (ICMP).
The ICMP service offers intensive case management to individuals who are living with a diagnosis of Psychosis or Bipolar Affective Disorder.
The Team focuses on assessment, engagement, relapse prevention, self-management, and recovery to optimise the service user’s ability to live independently and enjoy a good quality of life.
We are looking for a qualified Senior Social Worker to join our well-established Mental Health Team. You would be expected to have a good understanding of relevant legislation and statutory duties, excellent communication skills and high standards of professional practice.
As a Senior Social worker, you will be someone with experience of working on complex cases, have experience of supervising qualified or non-qualified staff and be looking for the chance to help shape a developing model of practice, based on strengths and relationships. You will be confident to provide a strong social work voice within the team and will have support to practice and uphold social work ethics and values.
You will be expected to have a sound understanding of relevant mental health legislation and statutory duties, of the Equality Act 2010 and Care Act 2014. You should have excellent communication skills and high standards of professional practice. AMHP experience would be preferred, as you will be expected to supervise other AMHPs in the team and to participate in the Bexley-wide AMHP rota or willing to train.
HTT Senior Social Worker
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Senior Social Worker within Bexley Home Treatment Team (HTT).
The HTT focus to support service users to remain in their own home to aid their recovery during the crisis episode.
You will need to have post qualification experience in mental health and preferably within crisis services.
The post requires practitioner to be confident assessors who can make clear decisions about risk manager and the appropriateness of home treatment team interventions and effective gatekeeping assessment.

Social worker within Community Mental Health
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint Social Workers within Bexley Community Mental Health Teams, which includes primary care mental health wellbeing hub, ICMP and HTT.
These position are open to recently qualified social workers as well as experienced social workers. You will be supported by our social work team to develop your skills and experience within the field of mental health social work.
Newly qualified social workers will be supported to complete the ASYE program with the support of experienced social workers within the team. You will be offered regular line management and clinical supervision.
- Completing and updating risk assessments.
- Working in line with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Mental Health Act (1983).
- Assessment, support planning, reviews and safeguarding within the meaning of the Care Act 2014.
- Multidisciplinary working.
- Demonstrating anti discriminatory practice and promoting the rights of vulnerable adults.
- Demonstrating excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Demonstrating an ability to collate information and write reports of a standard fit for legal processes such as Mental Health Tribunal's and Hospital Managers Hearings.
Fulfilling the duties of an Approved Mental Health Professional / Best Interests Assessor or being willing to work towards gaining the associated qualifications. You will be supported to gain this experience and qualifications
