Are you an experienced and dynamic Multi Skilled Operative looking for your next position?We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operativeto join the fantastic team at our Tarmac Asphalt plant at Stevenage in Hertfordshire to work on the day-to-day operations driving mobile plant and other site duties, and work with the team to the site plan, you will ensure that stocks are maintained and replenished in good time.Main ResponsibilitiesOn a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the Multi Skilled Operativewill include (not exhaustive):Operating Mobile Plant on siteWorking with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveriesAssisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targetsFollow SHE policies and proceduresEnsuring Plant conforms with safety requirements at all timesHealth, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilitiesInspections on the plant and acting on defects and implement remedial actionEnsure that plant availability is maximisedWorking to keep housekeeping around site to a high standardPrevious experience working in an Asphalt / RMX / Plant / Quarry / Industrial Manufacturing environment would prove highly beneficial; but this is not essential as training will be given to the right candidateThe Ideal CandidateTo succeed in the role of a Multi Skilled Operativethe following is what we are looking for in a future colleague:Knowledge of PlantIT LiterateShovel License – highly desirableGood Timekeeping – flexible as to the site requirementsGood Communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of Line ManagementPrevious experience in mobile plant operationsFull UK manual car Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty pointsThe role is based at Stevenage and is easily accessible via most major road networks and commutable from Welwyn Garden City, Knebworth, Harpenden, Hitchin, Buntingford, Ware, Letchworth Garden City, Luton, Dunstable, Biggleswade, Royston, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Bishops Stortford, Bedford and the surrounding areas.At Tarmac, ‘who you are’ matters.
