We want to get to know you.If you share our values and are proud of a job well done, collaborative in working well with others and ambitious to make things better, then have a read of what we have on offer.We are one of the UK’s largest land and mineral owners, with a diverse real estate portfolio including minerals, industrial and commercial land, as well as strategic greenfield land held for future operations.Strategic Planning Surveyor is a critical member of the Land and Natural Resources (L&NR) function.The Strategic Planning team supports the business by finding, securing and promoting land through the planning process for mineral extraction and industrial development, creating a commercial asset.You will be part of the Regional Strategic Planning team focused on ensuring long term mineral continuity and industrial footprint are planned and secured, to ensure the Tarmac Materials, Cement and Building Products Business Units (BU) are sustained and developed.Contributing to the implementation of Regional strategic plans that set out and identify the respective BU’s mineral continuity and industrial footprint requirements.Supporting the SP team in securing the targeted land and mineral assets required to deliver the strategic plans.Supporting the development of the secured assets through the necessary Planning and Permitting legislative regimes to create a Real Estate asset that can be operated by the BU.The management of planning applications and supporting on planning compliance relating to existing quarries and industrial units.Providing information to assist with the budgeting, forecasting and management of L&NR and BU Capex projects.To play an active role in the L&NR interface with the Operational BUs.Successful candidate for the Strategic Planning Surveyor will ideally have:Strong interest in Real Estate, including planning and securing interests in landself-starting and independent professional,a passion for developing a career in Real Estate,strong collaboration skills for organising and participating in team workinggood communication skillsA strong aptitude to use strategic thinking to analyse and solve complex tasks and to flexibly navigate critical situations.A relevant Degree, working towards or recently qualified as a Chartered Surveyor (RICS) or Town Planner (RTPI)Practical experience of:Prospecting Licences, Options and Lease Agreements relating to the securing of land and mineral prospects.Delivering Mineral and Industrial planning projects for mineral and industrial operations.Planning Policy relating to the development of land within the UK.Landlord & Tenant and Planning legislation relating to mineral/waste and industrial property.Engaging with Stakeholder groups relevant to Community Engagement and developing relationships with key external StakeholdersOrganising and prioritising workload to meet key objectives#LI-LT1 #surveyorjobs #RICS #townplannerWe offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives and benefits.Some of the range of benefits on offer to employees include:Enhanced holiday entitlementContributory pension schemeAccess to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc.Access to our Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential advice.Training and development opportunitiesInterested?
