About the Role
The Electrical Managing Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the electrical department within the organisation. This includes strategic planning, project management, team leadership, and ensuring the successful execution of electrical projects. The role involves collaboration with other departments, clients, and stakeholders to drive the overall success and growth of the company.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
* Develop and implement the overall strategic direction for the electrical department in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
* Identify opportunities for business expansion, market growth, and innovation in the electrical sector.
* Provide strong leadership to the electrical team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
* Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and motivated team capable of delivering high-quality electrical projects.
* Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
* Collaborate with project managers to identify and mitigate risks, and ensure effective communication with clients.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the delivery of solutions that exceed expectations.
* Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Develop and manage budgets for electrical projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
* Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all electrical projects.
* Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to uphold high standards of workmanship.
* Work closely with executive leadership to align electrical strategies with overall corporate objectives.
* Liaise with other Group businesses to develop self-delivery approach and identify other opportunities for Group services
* Work together with the group directors to further develop strong working relationships with identified strategic clients.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred but not essential
* Extensive experience in electrical engineering and project management.
* Proven track record of successful leadership and management in a senior role.
* Strong understanding of industry regulations, codes, and standards.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
* Financial insight and experience managing budgets.
