We’re looking for a Network Analyst to support and administrate the IT infrastructure for Compass Group UK&I to enable the business to achieve its business objectives and strategic plans.The main duties of the role are:Ensure that the CG UK&I infrastructure services are maintained, operated and supported to the defined standard and as per the CG IT strategic objectives.Ensure all operational issues, enhancement requests and project support activities within their area of responsibility are delivered on time, on budget and to the agreed SLA objectives.Responsible for the design, implementation and 3rd line support of new network provisions within the business whilst supporting and advancing existing infrastructure. Providing proactive support and enhancement of Compass Group UK & Ireland\'s LAN, WAN & WLAN infrastructureRepresentative of the Network Services Team during client bid and design processes in a technical capacity You will be aligned to specific service lines including, but not limited to the following: High Level & Detailed Network Design Documentation Cisco Meraki Configuration & Management Avaya Gigabit & VSP Core/Edge Switch Configuration & ManagementSolarwinds and NAGIOS Network Monitoring & AlertingAerohive Wireless & Branch Routing ManagementFortinet Firewall Configuration & ManagementMPLS Infrastructure Support3rd Line BAU support calls Key Responsibilities: Act as an escalation point for faults and issues, including out of hours on a scheduled basisEnsures that all infrastructure and service components are administrated, maintained and documented in accordance with suppliers and department standardsIdentify issues or opportunities for service improvements that could affect or improve service delivery and work with the Network Services Team Leader to define a resulting plan.Ensure adherence to all defined standards for Incident, Change and Problem Management, including the effective transition of new infrastructure services into BAU support – including documentation, configuration management and knowledge pertaining to services.Liaise with first line, second line and vendor support to resolve support tickets.Ensure continual service improvement including a shift left framework to ensure the most effective and cost efficient resolution of incidents, problems and service requests.Ensure operating instructions, procedures and policies for their defined service lines comply with relevant regulation and CG standards.Maintain a comprehensive list of hardware and software configuration items including support levels with vendors.Maintain an accurate inventory of Infrastructure configuration items and ensure associated event management procedures and operating instructions are defined.Develop and maintain key performance reporting data for defined service lines.Ensure excellence in customer service is embedded within the team culture and are evident in the delivery of service.Support the annual testing of the IT DR plan.Ensure adherence to agreed processes and procedures ensuring compliance with security, quality standards, risk management, health and safety and defined IT standards, policies and procedures.Support audits of IT services Qualifications & Skills: High level of IT technical competenceA highly customer focused individual that proactively raises the profile of IT An excellent listener and questioner who is able to communicate clearly and interact across all levels.Projects a positive, friendly and professional persona at all times.
