Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence.The service you will work in….This is an exciting opportunity to mobilise a  domestic abuse specialist team which aims to address a critical gap in services for the rising number of survivors (esp. single women) needing refuge who are presenting with multiple and complex needs, providing a sustainable and impactful solution to improve outcomes for these vulnerable victim-survivors and reduce systemic pressures.A day in this role looks like….As a Service Manager at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our specialist domestic abuse intervention service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:Provide a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for women and children immediately fleeing domestic abuse.Promote a trauma informed, empowering, anti-racist and intersectional
feminist culture ensuring that women and children with multiple support needs are at the forefront of service delivery.Work in line with Hestia's values Respectful, Genuine, Dedicated, Collaborative, Courageous.Manage the overall day to day running of the specialist intervention team, ensuring a high quality trauma informed service is provided by the team.Support the refuge managers with safeguarding of adults and children, complete reviews where appropriate and ensure all staff are working to Hestia's safeguarding adults and children's procedures and are able to identify, action and escalate appropriately.Lead on case formulations for the specialist intervention cases using Hestia's case review framework, ensuring high quality assessments are completed with clear goals focused on individuals' strengths.Respond to the needs of service users who encounter barriers in accessing services, including women with multiple needs, diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, the LGBT+ community, people with disabilities and other marginalized or hard-to-reach groups.Ensure move on's from the service are done safely and appropriate support is in place, and that staff have accessed financial support through move on funds and charity grants.Work with the referral line to ensure that there is a smooth transition from referral into refuge and Routes to Support is accurate.Ensure there is a programme of support and activities providing fun and joy delivered in the refugeWhy Hestia?Joining Hestia means more than just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger. To excel in this role, you should possess:Experience of supervising staff and delivering high quality support to people with a range of needs and risks.Experience of identifying and managing risk for victim/survivors of domestic abuse.Good knowledge of welfare benefits and housing options and legislation related to statutory duty including the rights for survivors of domestic abuse in regard to housing in line with the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.Strong understand of working in a domestic abuse setting in the community or in refuge.An understanding of co-production and the ability to ensure that the service is delivered in partnership with service users.Our commitment to Equality, Diversity, and InclusionOur services users come from all walks of life and so do we.
