We are excited to be recruiting for a Hospitality and Retail Head Chef to work with us at wonderful B&I site currently going through a huge refurbishment. About the site: This B&I site provides lunch for 400-550 people every day. We provide hospitality events four times weekly with a host of evening events for up to 350pax several times throughout the week. Location: EC2V 7QPRate of pay: £48,000 per annum + 1.5 overtimeWorking pattern: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week - 7am to 3.30pmKey Responsibilities:Reporting to the Executive Chef, the head chef will manage a team of Sous Chefs, Chef De Parties, Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters of 10-12 peopleTo prepare and oversee all preparation of food to the highest standard To produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customersTo ensure that all appropriate ingredients are available for the menus To develop and plan menus that are in line with client and customer expectationsTo be creative when menu planning and including the client and customers Pride yourself on food quality and hygiene standardOverall responsibility for managing the kitchen team Provide feedback and coaching on performance To ensure that the kitchen team have completed up to date COSSH and Food Hygiene trainingOur Ideal Candidate:We are looking for an ambitious and experienced head chef who has worked within B&I contract catering or hotels with banqueting Will have great communication skillsStrong leadership abilityPassion for creating innovative retail and hospitality offerings on siteWhat\'s in it for you?Working with Vacherin has its perks!
