It provides a welcoming environment where people can find help when they are unable to cope on their own. The sanctuary focuses on reducing and managing immediate distress, anxiety, and stress, offering a short-term support network to those in need. With compassionate staff available to listen, the sanctuary also provides valuable information and guidance to help individuals manage their mental health. During their stay, guests work collaboratively with staff to create personalized plans to address their mental health needs, along with tools and resources to support their well-being after leaving the sanctuary.A day in this role looks like….As a Pool Worker (Mental Health) at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Camden Crisis Sanctuary. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users,
guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:Recovery workers providing essential support to clients experiencing mental health crisesMeeting with clients to assess their immediate needs, offer guidance, and develop support plansDe-escalating crisis situations to help clients regain control and ensure their safetyAdmin-heavy responsibilities, including accurately documenting contacts, case notes, and progress reportsManaging safeguarding alerts to ensure the well-being and protection of clients in vulnerable situationsWhy Hestia?Joining Hestia means more than just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger.
