If so then please read on as we may just have your next role here with us at TarmacWe are currently looking for an experienced Contracts Supervisor - Highways to join our fantastic team working on the East Anglia Pave project of works, ensuring all programmes are completed with the highest standards of safety in place and financial contribution is maximised. Within this role you will manage and develop individual performance to ensure that works activities are carried out efficiently to agreed programme and specification, whilst developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, Clients and stakeholders.Main ResponsibilitiesAs theContracts Supervisor you will be responsible for the successful delivery of Surfacing matters on behalf of Tarmac to our clients on whose contract/contracts which we are operating. This is to ensure their objectives and targets are achieved leading to the successful overall delivery of the projects.You as the Contracts Supervisor will also manage the teams on site (either internal or external providers) to obtain the best possible commercial result for the projects and successfully manage any challenge process/processes which Tarmac’s clients may possess.Other responsibilities for this role will include (not exhaustive):Effective planning, programming and delivery of programme of worksAchievement of Company and Contractual KPI’s and year-on-year improvement of Contract/Scheme KPI’sEnsure change controls are diligently managed on contracts and siteEffectively manage site teams to ensure career progression and competency is achievedWork collaboratively with Tarmac Health, Safety & Wellbeing advisor to promote best practice across all worksEnsure all Health and Safety standards are being adhered too across all works alongside collaborating, promoting and developing Health, Safety and wellbeing innovations with Zero accidents and environmental incidentsEnsure training qualifications and competence requirements are in place and monitored for all employees within their teamEnsure any CDM regulations (principle contractor responsibilities) are being adhered too across all worksEnsure environmental processes and best practice across the contractEnsure all Health & Safety briefings are delivered to teamsYou must be able to travel across the region of workThe Ideal CandidateIt is preferred that the successful candidate for the role of Contracts Supervisor will have the following:ESSENTIALYou will have worked within a similar role within the Surfacing industry and have knowledge of on-site Health and Safety policies and procedures associated with the roleHave the ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing leadership in the rolePossess good communications skills and will be able to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levelsComputer ability to include Excel and WordA certificate in Site Safety ManagementExperience in Surfacing Maintenance at a supervisory level, this will be in surfacing works and constructionCSCS card and SMSTS certificateHave a flexible approach to location and working patterns in accordance with needs of the businessDesirable:First Aid training & Mental Health First Aid TrainingIOSH trainingNEBOSH certificatedThe role is based from our Tarmac Norwich Office, Norfolk and covers the region of programmed works within the East Anglia area including Norfolk, Suffolk and North Essex.At Tarmac, ‘who you are’ matters.
