We\'re currently recruiting a dedicated Front Desk Porter to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 42 hours per week.As a Front Desk Porter, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. Here\'s what you need to know before applying:Your key responsibilities will include:• To operate within all ESS policies and procedures.• Provide a consistently polite and professional customer service to clients and visitors including contractors, delivery staff, resident families and act as chaperone as required. • Provide information and deal with general enquiries as required. • Provide strict code of entry and carry out buildings internal and external security checks (including access points)• Assist with liaison with neighbours to ensure smooth passage for visitors via their access control gates. • Messaging services to include ensuring internal and external telephone messages are passed to the intended recipient. • Monitor the fire alarm panel, fore logs, nurse call pager system.• Assist with weekly testing of fire alarm and assist first responder in the event of a fire alarm activation. • Issue of keys and management of the key log.• Porterage tasks as defined by the home manager including setting up facilities for use including church. • Oversight of car parking and reservations as defined by the home manager. • Storage and changing of paper/clock batteries. • Assisting in the transportation of waste from the building to the nearest waste receptacle/area (general, clinical, household, confidential)• Appropriate qualifications to support the role including Enhanced DBS.• To ensure the reception area is maintained to the highest level of cleanliness and tidiness at all times.• The Front Desk Porter is to wear the correct company uniform and is to be consistently smart in appearance.• To receive, collate and issue mail/packages/deliveries to the correct person/department. • To ensure that a written handover is provided for the oncoming Porter.• Comply with all site/company Emergency and Health and Safety Protocols.• To complete all company E- Learning training in a timely manner.• To promote the Company at every possible opportunity.• To carry out any reasonable tasks and work as required by the ESS Manager or the Company.Our ideal Front Desk Porter will:An enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and customer service skills Able to work unsupervised and as part of a teamEffective knowledge of IT systems.Highly competent in the English language, both written and verbal Basic food hygiene/level 2Self-motivated and able to work un-supervised Part of Compass Group UK&I, ESS is the Defence, Government, and Energy services sector of Compass Group UK & Ireland.
