You will be an essential part of the team, ensuring that students and staff enjoy nutritious, well-prepared meals.Location: LVS Ascot, Ascot, SL5 8DRContract Type:PermanentShift Pattern: Monday-Friday (11.30am - 8pm)Hours: 40 hours per weekRate of Pay: £12.21 per hourWhat You’ll Be DoingPrepare and present food to the notified standard, ensuring the ethos of Fresh Food from Scratch is followedTo ensure all work areas and surfaces are clean and tidy as is practical at all times, especially at the end of the day/shiftTo serve customers in a quick, polite manner ensuring good customer service at all timesReplenish food and equipment to ensure an efficient and seamless serviceTo complete any administration as requested including food temperatures, cleaning schedules, delivery temperatures, stock takes etc.To ensure the kitchen is maintained in a clean, organized manner and all food safety and health and safety policies and procedures are followedTo promote a friendly working relationship with colleaguesTo raise any issues to the Head Chef or Catering Manager in a timely mannerTo work at school events, as required, with occasional evening and weekend workTo assist with the set up, service, clearing and cleaning of function catering as requestedTo assist in other local units as may be necessary in an emergencyWhat You’ll BringExperience in a catering or hospitality role, ideally within a school or large-scale food service environment.A passion for food service and providing a positive dining experience.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends if required.What’s In It For You?Joining Sodexo means being part of a supportive and rewarding work environment.
