If you share our values and are proud of a job well done, collaborative in working well with others and ambitious to make things better, then have a read of what we have on offer.We are currently recruitingBrick CuttingOperativeto join our friendly team at our Linford Block Plant, which is located close to Stanford-le-Hope in Essex this will be working 7am - 4pmThe site is easily accessible from Tilbury, Gravesend, Rochester, Gillingham, Dartford, Purfleet on Thames, Grays, Wickford, Southend-on-Sea, Basildon, Brentwood, Billericay and the surrounding areas.Our Linford Plant manufactures sustainable, tough and energy efficient aerated blocks that we see all around us, whether this be in our homes or our work environments, you are never too far away from one of our products.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Main ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Brick Cutting Operative, you will be responsible for:Meeting daily production target requirementsReporting of data for quality purposesMoving, loading and unloading product from the plant and vehiclesMeeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaroundContinuous Improvement of performance standardsContinuous improvement towards plant and production methodsGood housekeepingThe Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within an industrial or similar environment as a Fork Lift Truck Operative, Multi-Skilled Operative or Labourer. However, the experience of working in a team, good communication skills and a willingness to learn are more important as full training can be provided.
