Are you a passionate Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to make your mark at one of the UK’s most iconic construction and infrastructure brands?Do you thrive on tackling technical challenges, driving innovation, and delivering reliable, high-quality solutions across complex infrastructure environments?If so – we want to hear from you.What’s the role?As ourSenior Quantity Surveyor, join our friendly team in Knowsley Highway Services in the North West and you will be required to travel across the assigned North West region; dependant of contracting works requirements.Our regional office is easily accessible from anywhere of the North West of England, with the local office being located just off Junction 6 of the M62.We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.In this role, you will:Be an integral member of the commercial team supporting the Commercial Manager and Managing Quantity SurveyorBuild a strong relationship with internal and client counterpartsas well as managing members of your team to attain their full potentialManaging commercial projects from pre contract stage through to completion ensuring contracts returns are maximised and complete forecasting across all within your worksEngaging and managing sub-contracts including tender enquiries, award and assessment of monthly payment applicationsSupport the production of monthly CVR'sProduce both internal and client forecastsProduction and substantiation through to agreement of associated Final AccountsEnsure all Tarmac and client processes are followed to minimise commercial riskWork with your team and ensure all work completed is accurately valued and followed through to cash collectionPrepare and submit monthly application for payments to clientsPrepare and issue early warning notices and compensation eventsDue to the nature of the work, you must have a FULL UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 points.For this role you should be/have:ESSENTIAL- NEC3/4 experienceCustomer exposure with National Highways or other large government organisations would prove highly beneficialStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skillsExcellent oral, written communication; and presentation skills with strong numeracy and analytical abilityProcess driven with strong commercial awareness and negotiation skillsIt is preferred that the successful candidate for the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is educated to degree level, although other equivalent qualifications minimum HND will be accepted. Training and development will be provided to a new colleague to attain their best in this role; therefore, we encourage you to apply if you are in the early stages of your career.
