Right now, we are looking for a Recovery Worker to play a pivotal role in our Mental Health Service in Villers Road.Sounds great, what will I be doing?The role empowers service users to manage their wellbeing, build independence, and achieve personal goals through tailored support and co-produced plans. It involves liaising with external agencies, facilitating group and community-based activities, and promoting social inclusion.The position ensures users understand and engage with the service, while actively monitoring safety and wellbeing. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.Here's what the team will be looking for:Experience of working with people who have people who have experienced mental health and / or dual diagnosis issues in a paid or voluntary roleKnowledge of issues affecting those individuals with a range of mental health conditions, how to communicate effectively with these individuals and how to support them with dignity and respectKnowledge of relevant Mental Health legislation, in particular Care Program Approach (CPA) processesUnderstanding of the principles of recovery as an ethos and a range of recovery approachesAbility to work as part of a team and on own initiative and to oversee induction of volunteersGood IT skills that includes a working knowledge of functions in MS Word, Outlook and the internetGood literacy and numeracy skillsThe ability to work with people who may display challenging behaviour and to defuse potentially difficult situationsA calm,
non-judgemental and anti-discriminatory approachWillingness to work unsociable hours.
