Join our team as we navigate the dynamic landscape of business finance together.What Will You Be Doing as an Auditor/SurveyorJoin the team at SBF in an audit an
d investigative role to identify actual and potential weaknesses in security and undertake surveys on new business with an analytical and commercial view to providing secure facilities based on your recommendations.You will also be responsible for protecting the integrity of SBF investment aiming to keep bad debts to a minimum and optimising the income stream of SBF via swift informative survey work streamlining the onboarding process for new clients.Working in a client facing environment you will be a key factor in ensuring SBF continues to provide excellent service to our portfolio.Our portfolio sits very much in the SME sector with audits conducted on clients across invoice discounting, factoring, chocs and our newly trademarked LedgerLite facilities. Typically, audited and surveyed businesses have an average of £350k funds out, but facilities range up to £10mill at the top end.Primary DutiesTo be responsible for carrying out audits on all facility types with the aim of identifying potential fraud / security situations.To ensure audit frequencies are maintained on acceptable parameters.Swift liaison with Relationship Manager and/or Regional Operations Manager / Directors over identified problems.Undertake surveys on new business proposals.Provide recommendations on issues raised / security situations impacting on SBF’s security.What Do We Need From You?We are open to applications from people with a variety of prior experience as training will be provided. What we need is someone who can:Utilise risk management skills in an effective manner to ensure client issues and security situations are reported on and a solutions-based approach is adopted in order that effective strategies to minimise bad debts are put in place.Demonstrate commercial and risk awareness when reviewing the po
rtfolio in line with the Credit Policy and risk appetite of SBF.Ensure we operate effectively as a team and communicate to a high level to bring out the best in people and motivate staff at all levels by showing you are a team player.Take action to identify and improve your own work-related skill set and knowledge in a way which will benefit the role.Maintain strong, pro-active risk management practices to ensure that SBF achieves sustainable growth and profitability.Fully participate in company initiatives in a positive and proactive manner, ensuring income lines are protected and additional fees charged in line with expectations.Always adopt a professional approach to ensure all clients receive a high level of service to increase client satisfaction and extend client life.What’s In It For YouThe role of Auditor/Surveyor is a permanent full time position Monday to Friday. You will be based in the North of England to allow for ease of access to our Leeds and Manchester offices as well as to our clients for this area.This is a permanent position based on 35 hours per week.
