Design Manager – Water Recycling
Location: Hybrid – Peterborough
Join the @one Alliance, a collaboration of eight industry leaders (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO), as we deliver innovative water infrastructure solutions for AMP8 and beyond. We’re looking for a Design Manager to lead the Water Recycling West (Infrastructure) team, focusing on wastewater pipelines and sustainable solutions.
What will you be doing as our new Design Manager?
What you’ll do

Oversee design teams, ensuring high-quality, efficient project delivery.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative, low-carbon solutions.
Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain safety and operational standards.
Manage risks and drive value-optimised project outcomes.
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and champion health and safety best practices.
Lead a diverse team, fostering a culture of development, inclusion, and excellence.
Support Anglian Water’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in infrastructure.

What we are looking for

Degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) with a strong background in wastewater infrastructure.
Expertise in designing wastewater networks, pipelines, and pumping stations.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop teams and collaborate effectively.
Commitment to sustainability and innovation in engineering practices.
Knowledge of CDM regulations and safety compliance.
