Marketing Project Analyst Salary £37,000 to £42,000 Permanent London Hybrid Our central Data Strategy team is keen to appoint a high-energy, commercially minded and experienced Marketing Project Analyst to support, implement, and optimise Saga’s data driven marketing strategy. Reporting to our Data Strategy Lead in our central group function, you will work across business units to deliver our data strategy, ensuring we capture data and marketing permissions that will be of value to the business and leverage our existing data assets in decision-making and operational systems. The role requires curiosity, the drive to seek out new ways of data capture, strong analytics skills, understanding of data processes and marketing technologies, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Other accountabilities include: Optimising consent management processes, whilst ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulationsSupporting the development of initiatives to grow the database, including website sign-upsAnalysing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to support database growthMonitoring and regularly reporting on KPIs to measure the effectiveness of consent capture and data strategiesIdentifying new data sources & opportunities and overseeing the capture and validation into analytical and marketing processes.Where consent/permissions are captured, ensuring compliance in implementation approachWorking with the Analytics team to implement data segmentation strategies into marketing decisioningEnsuring that metadata in Saga’s estate (e.g. website tagging) is of the right quality and value for decisioning in the businessHelping teams get data to where it is needed for real time decisioning across the entire marketing funnelEvaluating and testing new data integrations and tools to enhance marketing performanceProviding recommendations based on testing to optimise outcomes.Collaborating with the business, focusing on improving data leverage and implementing personalised campaigns across all channelsCollaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders to assess the compatibility and leverage of new integrations and to gather requirementsWorking closely with the Technology and Digital teams to identify first party data opportunities and alignment of Saga’s data strategy initiatives into their roadmap.The Ideal CandidateOur ideal Marketing Project Analyst will have experience in implementing data marketing strategies, including database growth and data-driven marketing. Other skills and experience required include: Worked with marketing teams to use data for effective campaign design and execution.Identified untapped data opportunities to create business value.Successfully led small-medium sized data strategy tests/projects.A proficient level of understanding of the ESPs – how data is managed through quarantine processes and one-click list unsubscribes.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data sets and provide actionable insights.Excellent numeracy and a natural critical thinker. Understanding of analytics tools and techniques. Be technically savvy with a commercial mindset, ideally with a strong emphasis on Adobe platforms and the ESPs. Familiarity with the latest technology trends and their application in business settings. Knowledge of first-party data strategies and customer segmentation. Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.Knowledge of project management practices and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. Understanding of data management principles, including data governance, quality, and security. Understanding of GDPR, consent and data privacy regulations.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
