We are excited to be recruiting for a Sous Chef to work at Mishcon de Reya.Location: Mishcon de Reya WC2B 6AHRate of pay: £43,000 per annumWorking pattern: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm , Event Overtime @ 1.5Key responsibilitiesCollaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal, innovative, and client-specific menus that meet the diverse needs of the café, client lounge, and events while maintaining consistency and qualityEnsure all dishes meet the established standards for taste, presentation, and portion size, while monitoring food quality throughout service to maintain consistencyOversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, and managing stock levels for all areasProvide excellent customer service by engaging with clients, addressing special dietary needs or requests, and ensuring that the café, lounge, and events are delivering a positive and memorable guest experienceWorking alongside a team, including a Head Chef and Chef De PartieAssisting with up to 3 events weekly (paid at 1.5)Catering for our client lounge , up to 18 meeting rooms and a cafe that covers up to 120 people daily Our ideal candidate:Contract catering background in a workplace setting is essentialStrong admin skillsPrevious Sous Chef experience What\'s in it for you?Working with Vacherin has its perks!
