We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our friendly team based at Tarmac Hendre Quarry, Hendre, Mold, Flintshire. This is accessible from Connah's Quay, Flint, Rhyl, Holywell, Wrexham, Chester, Corwen and the surrounding areas.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Main ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Quarry Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Fitterwill be responsible for:Carrying out scheduled planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to maintain plant condition and performance to support the delivery of the weekly production schedules.Monitoring and maintaining condition and performance of the plant and associated equipment and identify any circumstances that could result in an impact on availability or performance while supporting the Quarry Manager to meet defined KPI targets.Carrying out mechanical activities safely and ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner and leading mechanical breakdown and planned repairs to ensure expected plant reliability and to optimise plant and equipment performance.Ensuring most effective mean time to repair methods are adopted to minimise production disruption and downtime.The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the role of Mechanical Maintenance Fitter will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter as well as:Good knowledge of crushing, screening, conveying, hydraulic and pneumatic systems requiredUse of PC’s and capability to use common applications and company systemsFault finding ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate actionGood practical knowledge and experience of maintenance systems requiredAbility to assess SHE risks arising from work activities and control risks accordinglyKnowledge of site-specific SHE procedures and Safe Working PracticesWorking knowledge of plant and machineryBasic report writingWhy TarmacIn addition to the role of Mechanical Maintenance Fitter we also offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives and benefits including:Bonus scheme Enhanced holiday entitlement Contributory pension scheme Access to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc. Access to our Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential advice Access to join our Employee Communities (employee networks) we currently have nine communitiesinc.(REACH) Religious, Ethnic, Cultural Heritage, LGBTQ+, Parents & carers, Ability, Wellbeing, Female voice and menopauseTraining and development opportunities Interested?
