ASB OfficerP01810Starting salary £37,160 with potential progression to £39,974 on achieving designated skills and experience37 hours per week (hybrid working)We have an exciting opportunity for an ASB Officer to join our team.At Welwyn and Hatfield Borough Council we work hard to improve the lives of the local residents.We have this exciting opportunity for a creative and agile thinker who will work with our ASB and Community Safety Team to reduce anti-social behaviour in the district.You will be motivated to ensure effective delivery of customer focused services in relation to youth ASB and engagement.In addition, you will carry out the full range of duties within the ASB team from basic investigations to the most complex cases.You will be fine-tuned in the art of positively engaging with young people, their parents, schools, children’s services, commissioned services and the police.You will help reduce youth anti-social behaviour in the borough through a preventative and early intervention model, in collaboration with a range of agencies.You will support children and young people who are coming to the attention of police for anti-social behaviour in the district by diverting them away from negative behaviour and into constructive activities in the community safety partnership area. You will have experience of carrying out ASB investigations, a good understanding of ASB and crime legislations. You will have experience of case work management, working independently and as part of a team.This role requires you to have a full UK driving licence.The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.Our CORE values—Collaborative, Open, Responsible, Excellent—guide everything we do.We value everyone who works with us, no matter what their role is.
