Astute’s Nuclear Team is partnering with one of the UK leaders in enhanced metal solutions across the Space, Aviation and Defence markets. We are looking to recruit a Polisher for its Newcastle-upon-Tyne site.
The Polisher role comes with an hourly rate of �15.19 per hour, up to �360 quarterly production bonus and pension match.

Responsibilities and duties of the Polisher role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will:
* Polish finished components, including 80-grit belt, sateen, super sateen, and mirror finish.
* Operate polishing equipment..
* Use inspection tools like verniers, micrometers, PI tapes, and CMM.
* Inspect incoming parts, outgoing products, subcontracted work, and purchased components.
* Conduct process audits.
* Identify and report non-conforming parts.
* Enter technical inspection data into spreadsheet software.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Proven experience as a Metal Polisher, desirably in a highly regulated industry.
* An awareness of the relevant Health and Safety regulations

� Friday’s off, but with overtime available when required
