A South London local authority is seeking an experienced Voids & Repairs Lead Officer to join their team and play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality housing maintenance services for residents.
Role Overview:
As the Lead Officer for Responsive Repairs, Voids, and Aids & Adaptations, you will contribute to the Council’s strategic objectives by supporting the effective delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance across the housing stock. This is a key position within the Housing Property Services team, requiring technical expertise, strong project leadership, and a commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management of void properties to ensure timely turnaround and high-quality re-letting standards.
- Oversee responsive repair programmes, ensuring cost-effective and resident-focused service delivery.
- Support the delivery of Aids & Adaptations to improve residents’ quality of life.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver annual maintenance plans.
- Drive improvements in service delivery, customer satisfaction, and housing stock condition.
- Ensure all works are compliant with health & safety standards and statutory regulations.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar housing/property services role within the public sector.

- Proven ability to contribute significantly to key housing and maintenance projects.
- In-depth professional knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance practices.
