This pivotal role is integral to delivering local crime and disorder strategies and ensuring the city’s residents thrive in a secure and resilient environment. As the Communities Lead, you will act as the driving force behind initiatives that tackle Anti-Social Behaviour, vulnerability to exploitation and low-level criminality. You will bring to life the operational aspects of key policies, plans, and procedures, ensuring the Council is ready to address any community safety challenges that arise. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to promote community safety and engagement across Coventry. Lead initiatives to address Anti-Social Behaviour, vulnerability to exploitation, and low-level criminal activity within communities. Translate policies and plans into operational deployment, ensuring readiness to respond to evolving community safety issues. Collaborate with partners, including the police and other key stakeholders to build robust relationships that enhance community resilience and safety. Monitor and report on the impact of safety initiatives, using data to inform strategies and improve outcomes for all residents.This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).Who are we looking for?We are looking for an individual who embodies dedication, innovation, and collaboration.
