ENGLISH AS AN ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE TEACHERSituated on the beautiful Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is widely recognised as the world leader in character education. We have a co-educational community of over 500 students who are predominantly full boarding year-round.We also run our ownprestigious and well-established Summer School for children aged 8-16 from approximately 40 nationalities. Gordonstoun has a beautiful campus and staff can take full advantage of the lovely local area.Each year we create a vibrant international community where our staff play a critical role in creating a happy and formative summer experience for our students. Many of the existing staff return each year and enjoy the courses just as much as the students!We are looking for a an inspirational EAL teacher to teach English as an additional language.You will deliver creative and engaging lessons which enable students to quickly accelerate their learning of the English language.You will have relevant teaching experience and be able to inspire by using a student-centred learning approach and using up to date resources. People will recognise you as someone who has a highly professional approach who with guidance from our Academic Manager, creates and delivers a top-quality course. You will complete reports on the students and be involved in some excursions and activities.Ideally you will have at least one year of relevant teaching experience, however anyone who has taught English in the past will be considered.2025 dates: Tuesday 1st July to – Mon 28th JulyThe course is residential with full board. **Skills Required**

• Experience teaching school age children for at least 1 year.
• Experience of teaching English for at least 1 year.
• High level of computer literacy
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines
• Flexibility to adapt and inspire young people
• Tolerance and kindness
• Enthusiasm & ability to create a positive learning environment
• Maintain confidentiality and be discreet.
• Team work and use own initiative
• Experience of teaching English as an additional language.
• Experience of working in other summer schools
• Ability to work with teachers across the curriculum.
• Experience preparing teaching materials.
• Experience preparing students for PET, FCE, IELTS.

**Qualifications Required**

• RSA DELTA
• MA TESOL
• Recognised First Aid qualification
• A full, clean driving licence
