Are you an experienced Pharmacy Dispenser with a background in GP Practices? A fantastic locum opportunity is now available in Birmingham to support a busy and welcoming GP dispensary team.
Position: Pharmacy Dispenser - GP Practice Location: Birmingham Contract Type: Locum - ongoing Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (30-minute lunch break) Start Date: June 2025 Rate: �15-�16 per hour Contact: Alfie Rowett | 02034754858 | arowett@hg-ahp.com
About the Role: You'll be joining a supportive primary care setting where your experience will contribute directly to patient safety and smooth running of the dispensary. Responsibilities include:
Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Assisting with the repeat prescription process
Delivering high-quality customer service to patients
Monitoring and maintaining stock levels
Working collaboratively with GPs, pharmacists, and the wider team
Candidate Requirements: To be suitable for this role, you must have:
An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (mandatory)
Experience working within a GP Practice dispensary (required)
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
A professional and adaptable approach to patient-facing care
The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Working Hours & Duration: This is a full-time, long-term locum role running Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. The contract is ongoing from June, with possible extension depending on service needs.
