We're offering a 6-month fixed term contract for an Employee Relations Administrator to join our busy and collaborative Employee Relations Team. In this role, you'll provide vital administrative support to help us deliver a professional and efficient ER service across the organisation. You'll also have the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience.
This post is for 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday on a 6 month fixed term contract.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting the Employee Relations Team with day-to-day administrative tasks
Managing the HR Advice inbox and responding to initial ER queries
Liaising with managers to coordinate investigations, disciplinary and appeal hearings
Supporting Senior ER Advisers with active case work and time-bound projects
Maintaining accurate records, updating iTrent, and ensuring GDPR-compliant filing
Drafting and issuing meeting invites and correspondence using standard templates
Participating in wider HR Operations projects and contributing to service improvements
Key Responsibilities:
Accurate case file management and electronic record-keeping
Scheduling meetings and booking rooms, including coordination with managers and union reps
Preparing disciplinary bundles and note-taking for ER meetings
Logging and tracking ER case data on HR systems
Providing excellent customer service with prompt, professional responses
Shadowing and supporting with ER case work, such as investigations and sickness management
Gaining insight into complex ER matters and HR best practice
Developing your HR knowledge to build towards a future HR role
Who we're looking for:
Essential:
Experience in an HR support/admin role
Familiarity with HR software platforms (e.g., iTrent)
Strong attention to detail and excellent administrative skills
Confident written and verbal communicator
Able to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain professionalism under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including formulas and VLOOKUPs)
Desirable:
Experience working in social care or the not-for-profit sector
iTrent experience
Understanding of DBS and right-to-work checks
