DATA PROTECTION EXECUTIVE - TEMPORARY FIXED TERM CONTRACT About you You’ll be a confident and highly motivated individual with a keen eye for detail. You’ll be able to work to demanding deadlines under your own guidance and have the ability to interpret regulation and industry standards and apply them in practical scenarios. You’ll be highly organised, with fantastic analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise with stake holders at all levels. About your role As a Data Protection Executive, you’ll be the key point of contact, both internally and externally, for all data protection matters. You’ll be working with the Head of Data Security and Compliance to deliver the GDPR plan to ensure we are adequately prepared. Where does your role fit in? Working alongside the Risk and Compliance team, and reporting into the Head of Data Security and Compliance, you’ll assist in delivering the GDPR plan, to ensure compliance with the updated regulatory framework. Responsibilities Your tasks and responsibilities Ensuring adequate policies and procedures are created and maintained Perform Data Protection Impact Assessments Deal with any Data Subject Access Requests received (DSARs) Submit, as required, any reports to the Information Commissioners Office Assist the Head of Data Security and Compliance with the implementation of the GDPR plan Review marketing material to ensure compliance with applicable regulations You’ll aim to achieve Delivery of the GDPR plan Deliver policies and procedures that ensure compliance, while minimising operational impact Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour Your knowledge and experience Strong understanding of data protection requirements and awareness of the changes required by the General Data Protection Regulation Experience of understanding regulations and being able to implement them in a practical setting Experience of documenting policies and procedures is essential Your skills Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Confident decision maker Maintain personal development, including wider subject matter awareness Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Additional Website Text Salary for this role is £30,000 pa pro rata
