A collaborative, friendly and successful creative team are looking for an art director to join their team. They work on some of the worlds top brands / household names to create customer engagement and exciting campaigns and launches. They are looking for someone to create powerful concepts and design solutions of the highest standard, against creative briefs and within budget across a number of exciting brands.

Recent campaigns have included festival pop ups, pop up bars, and shoots all over Europe.

The team in this award winning agency are collaborative. This is not an environment where you pitch against your colleagues, this is a place where you work together to create the best campaigns for the brands. Art Directors work with copywriters or solo, and you may be teamed up with different people depending on the brief and who would work best on a particular project.
The work will span across all channels but they do quite a lot of experiential and shopper, so someone will need some exposure to this.

• In conjunction with Senior Art Directors/Design Group Heads/Creative Director, analyse brief, plan response, and produce initial concepts for consideration. Develop chosen concepts to required standard of finish, within deadlines agreed with team.
• Able to understand brief and market requirements, and produce relevant concept options in response.
• Liaise directly with group account handlers on development of concepts.
• Choose relevant software packages for the project in hand and use them to best affect i.e. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• Attend or accompany a senior on photographic shoots when considered appropriate.
• Take part in and actively contribute to ideas and insights brainstorms
• Understand relevant production implications of specific creative executions in relation to a specific brief
• Develop understanding of individual clients’ brands, market position, corporate image and previous approaches to marketing, be aware of and assess effectiveness of competitive and your own work.
• Demonstrate strong ability to present and sell concepts to account handlers and creative teams (and clients where appropriate) and explain clearly creative thinking and production processes involved.
• Responsible for assisting the development and management of relevant junior staff, provide necessary guidance/mentorship on an ongoing basis and recommend training
as appropriate.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle projects from the outset and ensure completion.
• Keep up to date with current campaigns, trends and technologies within the world of marketing/advertising (campaign, design and digital).

• Relevant art direction experience across multiple channels i.e Experiential, shopper and retail, digital, social and ATL in a marketing/creative agency environment
• Able to use software packages including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Good understanding of different photographic, repro and printing techniques, and the terminology involved.
• Awareness of the commercial aspects of design, technologies and production, including cost implications of different routes and timescales required for producing different types of work.
• Awareness of marketing and brand building generally, and consider and assess effectiveness of competitive and your own work.
• Ability to sell/convey an idea through drawings/scamps, image sourcing and mood boards.
